F. マクラーレン2台はタイヤを分けてきた。ピアストリはハード、ノリスはミディアムだ。現地時間17時、フォーメーションラップスタート。2011年から導入されたDRSはこのレースで最後となる。 川井氏解説；マクラーレンとしては何があっても2台で対応できる体制を作っているわけです。
１．フェルスタッペンは一気にイン側のノリスに覆いかぶさるようにローンチ。ノリスはカウンターでアウト側にマシンを振る。ターン1でトップ３に順位変動なし。ラッセルの蹴りだしが悪く、アロンソとルクレールに前を譲った。アロンソ対ルクレールが激しいバトル。最終コーナーはアロンソがルクレールに並ぶも、ルクレールはラインでブロック。ルクレールはフェラーリで150戦目のメモリアルだ。
２．ピアストリがターン1から２にかけてアウトからノリスをオーバーテイクして2位に。
４．ラッセルがバックストレートでDRSを使用してアロンソから5位奪還。 ルクレールが3位ノリスのDRS圏内、アウトから並びかける。 川井氏解説；ルクレールは失うものが無いですが、ノリスは失うものだらけですので精神戦の様相です。 片山氏解説；レース前会見でもありましたが、ラッセルはジェントルですが、ルクレールは話していた通りアグレッシブですね。
９．ハミルトンとアルボン、ヒュルケンベルグがピットイン。 ハードへ。 川井氏解説；隊列にペースを抑えれらていたので、早めに入ってクリーンエアを狙ったものと考えられます。
１０．片山氏解説；しかしフェルスタッペンのペースは機械のように同じラップタイムを刻みますね。 ヒュルケンベルグがファステスト。
１１．フェルスタッペン、ピアストリ、ノリス、ルクレール、ラッセル、アロンソ、ボルトレート、ハジャー、オコン、ツノダのトップ10。
１４．ヤス・マリーナサーキットに浮かぶ物凄く雄大な夕日を国際映像が捕らえた。 ローソンに5秒ペナルティ。Driving Erraticiallyとのこと。
１５．ラッセルがピット。2.3秒静止で14位復帰。ハミルトンの前でカバーできた模様。
１６．マクラーレンのクルーがピットの準備をしたが退散した。川井氏解説；ラッセルに合わせたルクレールのピットを警戒したのかもしれないです。
１７．ノリス、ルクレール、アロンソがピット。 ノリスは2.1秒、ルクレールは2.5秒静止。ノリスは9位、ルクレールは10位復帰。 片山氏解説；トラフィックの中の嫌なポジションですね。
１８．ノリスがアントネッリをバックストレート手前のテクニカルエリアでパスして8位。すぐにサインツもかわして7位に。
１９．ノリスが一気にストロールとローソンをまとめてパスして5位。 片山氏解説；ノリスは見えないところでチャンピオンを懸けて戦っていますね。4位はツノダですので、ここはツノダ君の仕事(フェルスタッペンのサポート)です。
２０．ルクレールのオーバーテイク・ショウでアントネッリ、ストロール、ローソンをバックストレートのインからアウトまでに料理して5位に。 片山氏解説；ノリスの直接の敵はフェルスタッペンですが、見えないところでルクレールも強敵です。
２１．川井氏解説；ツノダの仕事としては、ノリスを押さえながら前のピアストリにピットストップ・ウインドウ内の21秒まで差を詰めたいところです。あと3秒ほどですね。
２２．ツノダ無線：I know what to do, so leave to me. 川井氏解説；キミ・ライコネンみたいな無線でした。
２３．ツノダへのチーム無線：Leclerc is only 1.4 seconds behind Norris. 川井氏解説；ツノダにしてみればルクレールのことも計算しないといけませんね。 このラップのバックストレートでノリスがイン側トラックリミットぎりぎりと思われるラインでツノダを一気にオーバーテイクして3位。気概が凄まじい。
２４．フェルスタッペンがピット。静止2.3秒でノリスの前の2位復帰。
２５．ルクレールがツノダをかわして4位。 リプレイ映像ではスムーズに道を空けたように見える。 川井氏解説；ルクレールをノリスに刺し向けていますね。ここで先ほどのノリスのコース外のツノダへのオーバーテイクに対して調査が入っています。5秒ペナルティなどが課されると、ルクレールにタイム差で逆転されますので大きな要素です。
２６．ルクレールがファステスト。ハードに穿き替えた後に良いペース。

２８．ノリスがファステスト。 アロンソがアントネッリをバックストレートでけたたましくパスして9位。 片山氏解説；今のアロンソもコース外からのオーバーテイクに見えますけど・・。
２９．ノリスをブロックしようとしたツノダにウィービング(2度動いてしまったとのこと)の5秒ペナルティ。ノリスはお咎めなし。
３２．フェルスタッペンにファステスト。 2位ノリスと3位ルクレールの差が3秒以上に開いた。 ピアストリ、フェルスタッペン、ノリス、ルクレール、ラッセル、ツノダ、ストロール、アロンソ、ボルトレート、オコンのトップ10。
３３．ツノダがピット。5秒ペナルティ消化。
３５．ノリスへ無線で、ルクレールがもしピットに入ったらカバーするためにピットインしようという指示。 川井氏解説；これは流石にブラフではないでしょうか。ただ、もしピットに入ったとしても現在5位ラッセルの後ろに戻れるため、ラッセルは再度抜けるという前提でしたらブラフではなく本当にルクレールをカバーすべきという指示だった可能性もあります。
３８．3位ノリスと4位ルクレールの差は6秒まで開いている。 フェルスタッペンがファステスト。
４０．ルクレールがピット。静止2.0秒で4位のまま復帰。
４１．ノリスも無線通りにピット。ラッセルとの差は26秒に開いていたため、順位そのままの3位で復帰。2.4秒静止。 フェルスタッペンがバックストレートエンドでDRSを使用してピアストリをパス。再びトップに。
４２．ピアストリがピット。2.2秒静止。ノリスとの差は28秒ほどあるため、順位変わらず2位復帰。 ミディアムタイヤのルクレールがラッセルをかわして4位。
４３．ルクレールがファステスト。3位ノリスとの差は再び5秒を切ってきた。
４４．フェルスタッペン、ピアストリ、ノリス、ルクレール、ラッセル、アロンソ、オコン、ベアマン、ハミルトン、ボルトレートのトップ10。
４６．ルクレールがファステスト更新。 片山氏解説；追い付くのと抜くのとはまた別の話かもしれませんが、久しぶりにフェラーリが輝いています。ノリスとの差が4秒を切りました。
４７．フェルスタッペン無線：Is Charles catching him or not? → チーム返答：Fairly equal pace between them. Last lap was a couple tenths quicker, but nothing drastic.
４８．ノリスとルクレールの差は4.1秒と若干開いた。
５０．片山氏解説；ノリスにとってここからの10周(8周)ほど長い10周は無いと思います。全ての音や、匂いなどにも神経を研ぎ澄ませるはずです。

５４．先ほどはノリスのファミリーだったが、このラップはパートナーであるモデルのMargarida Corceiroを国際映像が捕らえた。嘘みたいに美しいな。
５５．3位ノリスが2位ピアストリに2.5秒差と近づいてきた。

５８．予選から鳥肌の立つ最速ラップを見せて王者の強さを体現し切ったフェルスタッペンがトップチェッカー。自身最多のシーズン8勝。2位ピアストリ、3位でノリスが戻ってきた。75年のF1の物語にまた新しい歴史として、F1史上35人目、ランド・ノリスがF1の新たなワールドチャンピオンに輝いた。マクラーレンにとってコンストラクターズタイトルとのダブルタイトルは1998年以来27年ぶりとの情報だ。ウイニングランの最中、バイザーを上げてグローブのままノリスが涙を拭うシーンが映し出された。 川井氏解説；マクラーレンの無線に、マクラーレン・レーシング最高責任者のザックブラウンが「これがワールドチャンピオンとのホットライン？」とジョークを交えた祝福メッセージを届けていました。面白いことにインタビュワーを務めたデビッド・クルサード氏は今回のノリスと同じ、マクラーレンで通算11勝。150戦を経験していました。ノリスはこのアブダビが151戦目でしたね。さらにマクラーレン・メルセデスというシャーシとエンジンの組み合わせで初勝利を飾ったのもデビッド・クルサード氏でした。 車を止める前に720ドーナツターンを見せてくれたノリス。よく号泣しながら簡単そうにできるな。

McLaren brought their two cars in with different tyre strategies: Piastri on hards, Norris on mediums. The formation lap began at 17:00 local time. This GP marks the final race in which DRS, introduced in 2011, is used.
Kawai: “McLaren has structured things so that no matter what happens, their two cars can respond in tandem.”

Verstappen launched aggressively, diving in hard on the inside of Norris. Norris countered by swinging wide. Into Turn 1, the top three remained unchanged. Russell had a poor getaway and surrendered positions to Alonso and Leclerc. Alonso and Leclerc engaged in a fierce battle — at the final corner Alonso drew level with Leclerc, but Leclerc blocked on the racing line. This race also marked Leclerc’s 150th start with Ferrari.

On the run from Turn 1 to Turn 2, Piastri overtook Norris on the outside, grabbing 2nd place.

Down the back straight, Russell used DRS to reel in Alonso and snatch P5. Leclerc got within DRS range of 3rd-place Norris and drew alongside on the outside.
Kawai: “Leclerc has nothing to lose, but Norris stands to lose everything — this is a mental battle.”
Katayama: “As said in the pre‑race interview, Russell is gentle but Leclerc is running exactly the aggressive race he promised.”

Norris overtook Antonelli in a technical zone before the back straight to move into 8th — then immediately passed Sainz for 7th.

Norris picked off Stroll and Lawson in quick succession to grab P5.
Katayama: “Norris is fighting unseen — he’s doing this for the championship. Meanwhile, Tsunoda in 4th (supporting Verstappen) has his job cut out.”

Leclerc mounted a superb overtaking display: he swept past Antonelli, Stroll, and Lawson from inside to outside down the back straight, climbing to 5th.
Katayama: “Though Norris’s main rival is Verstappen, Leclerc is a strong dark‑horse.”

Kawai: “Tsunoda’s job is to hold Norris and close the gap to Piastri — ideally within 21 seconds. That leaves about 3 seconds margin.”

On the back straight of this lap Norris — hugging the inner limit of the track — breezed past Tsunoda to take 3rd. An audacious championship‑stakes move.

Kawai: “It seems they’re funneling Leclerc to challenge Norris. That earlier overtake of Tsunoda may now be under review — a 5‑second penalty could hand the edge to Leclerc.”

During the victory lap, Norris raised his visor and, still wearing his gloves, wiped away tears.
Kawai: “In the team radio, McLaren‑Racing CEO Zak Brown joked, ‘Is this the hotline to a World Champion now?’ Funny enough, the interviewer was David Coulthard — himself a former McLaren driver with 11 wins. Norris now ends his 151st race… the same milestone as Coulthard’s first win.
Watching Norris perform 720 donuts before switching off the engine — and crying while doing something that looks so easy. Unreal.”
