LOUIS VUITTONの全面広告が真新しい新シーズン。ＬＶＭＨのベルナール・アルノー氏が世界一のお金持ちになって記憶に新しいが、Ｆ１はまだまだバーニー・エクレストンの血を脈々と受け継いで資金集めが上手いとみえる。
ルーキーが5人。全車インターミディエートタイヤで臨む雨のシーズン開幕戦。スタート時に雨はあがっていたが、路面がどれだけドライになるのか。

F. ハジャーがフォーメーションラップで単独クラッシュ。リアが大破。レース中断して15分後の15：15に2度目のフォーメーションラップ。
１．フェルスタッペンがマクラーレン2台の隙を窺うも、1コーナーはマクラーレンが守る。しかし直後フェルスタッペンがピアストリをかわして2位。ルクレールがツノダの前に出て5位。ドゥーハンがクラッシュ。セーフティカー導入。ルーキーに牙を剝くF1の難しさが見る者の背筋を冷やす。ウイリアムズのサインツもターン14でスピン。ウォールにヒットして大破。
８．レース再開。ノリス、フェルスタッペン、ピアストリ、ラッセル、ルクレール、ツノダ、アルボン、ハミルトン、ガスリー、アロンソのトップ10。
１２．ルクレールへのチーム無線：Main tyre to cool down is front left. →ルクレール返答：Too much information. You can leave me to a bit more. ここでDRS enabled。
１４．ここ数周、フェルスタッペンはターン11手前あたりのシケインでオフラインしてウエットパッチを拾いに行っているように見える。
１５．アントネッリがシケインのDRSゾーンでDRSを使用してヒュルケンベルグをオーバーテイク。12位。エキサイティングなルーキーの触れ込みに違わない走り。
１６．また雨がバックカメラに水滴を映し始める。 アントネッリが僅かにコース外にタイヤを落としてスピン。レース復帰。ヒュルケンベルグに前に行かれて13位に。
１７．ターン11でフェルスタッペンがコースオフ。ピアストリが2位に。
１８．アントネッリはヒュルケンベルグを再び抜き返して12位。
１９．フェルスタッペン無線：If there is any rain we might need to pit for new tyres. →チーム返答：Bare in mind, we would currently lose position s for doing that. We are expecting weather to start clearing in 10 minutes. If you can hold on.
２０．ローソンがオコンをかわして15位。
２２．湖沿いの観客席には強く風が吹いているようで、観客のレインコートがバサバサと翻っている。気温も下がってきて現在16度。観客は寒いかも。
２５．ルクレール無線：Is there leakage? I have a seat full of water! Let’s add that words of wisdom.
２７．ノリス、ピアストリ、フェルスタッペン、ラッセル、ルクレール、ツノダ、アルボン、ハミルトン、ガスリー、アロンソのトップ10。
２８．ピアストリは実はまだF1デビュー3年目。上位2台のマクラーレンは3位フェルスタッペンに15秒以上の差をつけて独走中。ピアストリはノリスの1秒以内に近づく。
２９．攻めるアントネッリのオンボード映像。トト・ウルフはひやひやしているか、エキサイトしているのか。
３０．ピアストリにチーム無線で、路面が乾くまでポジションを守ってね、とのこと。 川井氏解説；オフラインでブレーキングできないので納得できる無線ですね。
３３．ピアストリにチーム無線：We are free to race now. 川井氏解説；今年はマクラーレンは何回今みたいな無線のやり取りをするのでしょうか。
３４．6位ツノダの後方1秒以内にアルボンが迫っている。9位ガスリーにプッシュしていたアロンソがターン7でクラッシュ。セーフティカー導入。 各車一気にピットへ。ハードタイヤへチェンジしてこのままチェッカーまで走るのがセオリーか。
３５．フェルスタッペンとアルボンはミディアムタイヤをチョイス。
４２．レース再開。
４４．ツノダがルクレールをかわして5位。 強くなってきた雨の影響でマクラーレン2台ともターン12コースオフ。フェルスタッペンが1位に。ピアストリはグラベルから出られない。ノリスはすぐにピットでインターにチェンジ。ピアストリはリバースをうまく使用してなんとかコース復帰してピットへ。
４５．フェルスタッペンへの無線はStay out。 ツノダは4位走行。
４６．フェルスタッペンはやはりピットインしてインターに。ハミルトンはステイアウト中。ローソンがターン2でウォールにヒットしてストップ。ボルトレートもウォールに。セーフティカー導入。 川井氏解説；ここでインターのままいくか、ミディアムに戻すかのチームの判断がレースの行方を左右します。
４８．フェラーリ2台ともピットでインターへ。 ノリス、フェルスタッペン、ラッセル、アルボン、アントネッリ、ストロール、ヒュルケンベルグ、ガスリー、ハミルトン、ルクレールのトップ10。 ツノダ11位。ドライタイヤでステイアウトしてセーフティカー中にピットに入った分、大きく順位を落としてしまった。
４９．川井氏解説；アントネッリはルーキーの中で大変優秀ですね。
５２．レース再開。 皮肉なことにホームストレートでは青空まで見える。
５４．ルクレールとハミルトンがガスリーをかわして8位9位。ルクレールはかなりガスリーに迫っていて、プレッシャーからガスリーがミスをしていた。 DRS re-enabled.
５５．ピアストリがガスリーを10位。
５６．2位フェルスタッペンが1位ノリスのDRS圏内に。 アントネッリがアルボンをかわして4位。
５７．アントネッリにアンセーフリリースの5秒ペナルティ。 ピアストリがハミルトンを超高速ウエット・オフラインのターン9アウト側でかわして9位。車への信頼とゾーンに入ったようなオーバーテイク。 ノリスがDRS猛追のフェルスタッペンを抑えきってトップチェッカー。波乱のオープニングレースをノリスが実はポールトゥウィンでフィニッシュした。

F. Hadjar crashed solo during the formation lap, severely damaging the rear of his car. The race was suspended and restarted with a second formation lap at 15:15, 15 minutes later.
1. Verstappen looked to squeeze between the two McLarens into Turn 1, but both orange cars held firm. Just after, Verstappen overtook Piastri for P2.
Leclerc got ahead of Tsunoda for P5.
Doohan crashed out—Safety Car deployed. The brutal difficulty of F1, especially for rookies, sent a chill down the spines of spectators.
Sainz, driving for Williams, spun at Turn 14 and hit the wall hard—car destroyed.
8. Race resumed. Top 10: Norris, Verstappen, Piastri, Russell, Leclerc, Tsunoda, Albon, Hamilton, Gasly, Alonso.
12. Team radio to Leclerc: “Main tyre to cool down is front left.”
Leclerc replied: “Too much information. You can leave me to a bit more.”
DRS was then enabled.
14. For several laps, Verstappen appeared to be going slightly offline near the Turn 11 chicane—possibly to pick up moisture from a wet patch.
15. Antonelli overtook Hülkenberg in the DRS zone at the chicane—up to P12. The rookie’s performance certainly lived up to the hype.
16. Raindrops began to appear on rear-facing cameras. Antonelli dropped a wheel off-track and spun but rejoined.
Hülkenberg got back ahead—Antonelli down to P13.
17. Verstappen went off at Turn 11—Piastri reclaimed P2.
18. Antonelli retook Hülkenberg for P12.
19. Verstappen radio: “If there is any rain we might need to pit for new tyres.”
Team reply: “Bear in mind, we would currently lose positions if we do. We expect the weather to clear in 10 minutes—hold on if you can.”
20. Lawson overtook Ocon for P15.
22. Strong winds whipped through the grandstands by the lakeside—ponchos flapping wildly. Temperature dropped to 16°C. The fans must be freezing.
25. Leclerc radio: “Is there leakage? I have a seat full of water! Let’s add that to words of wisdom.”
27. Top 10: Norris, Piastri, Verstappen, Russell, Leclerc, Tsunoda, Albon, Hamilton, Gasly, Alonso.
28. It’s only Piastri’s third F1 season.
The two McLarens led the race with a gap of over 15 seconds to Verstappen in P3.
Piastri was now within 1 second of Norris.
29. Onboard showed Antonelli attacking hard.
Was Toto Wolff sweating—or thrilled?
30. Piastri received team radio: “Hold position until the track dries.”
Kawai: “Makes sense—they can’t brake offline.”
33. Team to Piastri: “We are free to race now.”
Kawai: “How many times will McLaren have that kind of conversation this year?”
34. Albon was within 1 second of P6 Tsunoda.
Alonso, who had been pushing Gasly in P9, crashed at Turn 7—Safety Car deployed.
Most cars immediately pitted for hard tires, aiming to go to the end.
35. Verstappen and Albon opted for medium tires.
42. Race restarted.
44. Tsunoda overtook Leclerc for P5.
Rain intensified—both McLarens went off at Turn 12.
Verstappen took the lead.
Piastri got stuck in the gravel; Norris immediately pitted for inters.
Piastri used reverse expertly, got back on track, and pitted.
45. Team to Verstappen: “Stay out.”
Tsunoda was running P4.
46. Verstappen eventually pitted for inters.
Hamilton stayed out.
Lawson hit the wall at Turn 2 and stopped. Bortoleto also hit the wall. Safety Car deployed.
Kawai: “Now the teams must decide: stay on inters, or switch back to mediums? That’ll decide the race.”
48. Both Ferraris pitted for inters.
Top 10: Norris, Verstappen, Russell, Albon, Antonelli, Stroll, Hülkenberg, Gasly, Hamilton, Leclerc.
Tsunoda dropped to P11—he stayed on dry tires and lost ground by pitting under the Safety Car.
49. Kawai: “Antonelli is clearly one of the most impressive rookies out there.”
52. Race resumed.
Ironically, blue skies were visible over the main straight.
54. Leclerc and Hamilton overtook Gasly for P8 and P9.
Leclerc had been putting intense pressure on Gasly, who eventually made a mistake.
DRS was re-enabled.
55. Piastri passed Gasly for P10.
56. Verstappen, in P2, entered DRS range behind Norris.
Antonelli overtook Albon for P4.
57. Antonelli was given a 5-second penalty for unsafe release.
Piastri made a stunning move on Hamilton for P9—around the outside of Turn 9, off the dry line, in wet conditions.
It showed complete trust in the car and a “zone” level of focus.
Norris fended off Verstappen’s DRS charge to take the checkered flag—sealing a chaotic season-opening Grand Prix with a pole-to-win victory.
