レース要点
セーフティカー導入率75％のハイリスクGP。レッドブル400戦目のメモリアル。地元フェラーリ2台が6列目からのスタートとなった。予選でツノダとコラピントが大クラッシュをしていたが、2台とも決勝レーススターティンググリッドに着くことができた。コラピントがスタート前の無線でチームに大きく感謝していたのが印象的だった。

１．トップのピアストリと3位ラッセルのトラクションが良く見えたスタートであったが、ターン2のインをフェルスタッペンが強引にこじ開ける。ピアストリをかわしてトップに。 川井氏解説；ピアストリは無理をせず引きましたね。フェルスタッペンはあの道幅が狭いコーナーで、やると思ってたけどやるんですね。 ラッセルのスタートは良かったが、フェルスタッペンとピアストリに阻まれて行き場が無かった。
３．ピアテラでガスリーが大きくコースオフ。14番手まで後退。 川井氏解説；あそこは220km/hコーナーです。
５．フェルスタッペン、ピアストリ、ラッセル、ノリス、アロンソ、サインツ、アルボン、ストロール、ルクレール、ハジャーのトップ10。
１０．3位ラッセルに迫るノリスを、ラッセルが厳しいブロック。 ルクレールがピット。
１１．トサ？あたりでノリスがラッセルをかわして3位。ターンが連続するセクションでインとアウトが入れ替わる美しいオーバーテイク。 白幡氏解説；いやぁ、マクラーレンは曲がる車ですね。 ラッセルがピット。
１３．アロンソがピット。ピットアウト時にフロント両輪ブレーキ内部から炎。 13位走行中のルクレールがファステスト。 ピアストリがピットイン。静止3.6秒かかってしまった。
１５．ピアストリは10位ツノダの後ろにピットアウト。現状フェルスタッペンがトップのため、チームメイトのツノダにピアストリをおさえさせる作戦もある？
１７． ツノダへの無線でピアストリを押さえるように指示があった。則ちレッドブルvsマクラーレンのチームバトルである。 白幡氏解説；ツノダ君はもうペース落としてます。
１８． バックストレートエンドでピアストリがツノダをかわして10位。 ツノダはベアマンのトゥを使ってピアストリを押さえようとしていたが、見事。
２１． ルクレールがホームストレートからターン2でツノダをかわして11位。 サインツへの無線：Alex 21.8. → サインツ返答：It’s clearly a 1 stop, then if Alex is doing 21.8. 川井氏解説；アルボンのタイヤが20周オールドであると知っての情報です。
２２． ピアストリがヒュルケンベルグを抜いて7位。
２３． ラッセル無線：It’s like the rear trackrod or something is broken. Because the rears are moving, even on a straight line. I’m struggling. 白幡氏解説；トラックロッドが折れていたらタイヤが維持できないと思いますが。スタート前からリアがおかしいとは言っていましたね。
２５． メルセデスのメカニックが確認するには、ラッセルのリアに特にマシントラブルを示すデータは無いとのこと。 そろそろトップ・フェルスタッペンの１ストップが現実的な周回数となってきた。
２６． ラッセルがツノダを抜いて11位。 ピアストリがハミルトンをかわして6位。
２７． ピアストリがターン2でアントネッリをアウトからかわして5位。 スピードが違う。
２８． ピアストリがハジャーを抜いて4位。 スピードが違う。というより、ピアストリは2ピットストップのためプッシュせざるを得ない。
２９． ノリスがピット。 ハミルトンとルクレールの間、7位で復帰。 トサ出口でオコンがストップ。マシントラブルとの無線あり。 バーチャルセーフティカー導入。 川井氏解説：マックスおいしすぎですね。
３０． フェルスタッペンがピット。トップのまま24秒ほどのギャップを持って復帰した。 ルクレールからはピット直後のVSCだったため、Unbelievable!!との無線。 続々とピットイン。
３１． ピアストリがピット。 これはピット戦略で損をした。 川井氏＆白幡氏解説；これはアルボンの表彰台がみえてきました。4位ピアストリと7秒ほどのギャップを残り半分の周回数守れるかですね。
３２。 VSC中のピットレーンでラッセルがベアマンにあわや追突のリプレイが流れる。本当にギリギリぶつからなかった。
３３． タンブレロでサインツが12位ツノダに仕掛けるがタイヤ同士がヒット。サインツは無線で、バーレーンと同じでまたぶつけてきたとぼやく。
３５． ラッセルがストロールをかわして10位。ポイント圏内。
３６． ハミルトンがハジャーをかわして5位。 ミディアムとハードというタイヤの違いもあった。 ラッセルがホームストレートでアロンソをかわして9位。
３７． ハミルトンへの無線：P5 on the road, awesome! → ハミルトン返答：I had to use a lot of tyres to get through those 2. 川井氏解説；アストンマーティン2台を抜くためにタイヤをたくさん使ってしまったという意味ですね。
３８． タンブレロでルクレールがアントネッリをかわして7位。 どちらもホームGP。
３９． ピアストリが3位アルボンに1秒以内に迫る。
４０．ヒュルケンベルグがアロンソをかわして10位。ポイント圏内。予選好調だったアストン勢がポイント圏外に。 ピアストリがアルボンをかわして3位。 フェルスタッペン、ノリス、ピアストリ、アルボン、ハミルトン、ハジャー、ルクレール、アンテノッリ、ラッセル、ヒュルケンベルグのトップ10。
４１． ルクレールが6位ハジャーに1秒以内に迫る。 スムーズに抜き去ってルクレール6位。 川井氏解説；レースペースが良いことはルクレールも言っていましたが、去年よりフェラーリの予選ペースが遅いのは問題でしょう。
４２． サインツがヒュルケンベルグをかわして10位。ポイント圏内に。 ツノダがアロンソをかわして12位。 イモラはオーバーテイクショウが観ていて楽しいな。
４３． アロンソ無線：It’s going to be torture, it’s a wreck. I’m the unluckiest driver in the fxxkin’ world. 川井氏解説；これは1ストップで最後まで耐え抜く、といった無線ですね。
４５． 白幡氏解説；今日はトップからテールまで色々あって面白いレースですね。
４６． アントネッリがマシンをグラスに停めてリタイア。マシンに問題とのこと。セーフティカー導入。先ほどのVSCはトサ出口すぐだったが、今回はトサ出口から50mほど離れた場所だったからSC？
４７． レッドブルが直ちに反応してフェルスタッペンをピットに。 ノリスもすぐにピット。その後、ハミルトンもピット。 ルクレールはチームと相談して残り17周をステイアウトか？ ピアストリもタイヤが無いためピットに入らない模様。 ストロール、コラピント、ボルトレートがピット。
４８． 白幡氏解説；VSCとSCとの差はマーシャルがレースを面白くしようと思っているのでしょうか。 フェルスタッペン、ピアストリ、ノリス、ルクレール、アルボン、ラッセル、ハミルトン、サインツ、ハジャー、ヒュルケンベルグのトップ10。
４９． ルクレール無線：I’m looking at if we can finish in the points or not. I’m not being pessimistic, but these tyres are going to be incredibly difficult to restart.
５０． ノリスが無線でチームと(チームオーダーの)駆け引き。オスカー(ピアストリ)のタイヤがちょっと古いんだけどね・・。
５１． SCの前に隊列してしまったベアマンがSCをオーバーテイクし、最後尾18位を目指す。
５４． SC終了。残り10周のスプリント開始。 タンブレロ抜けでルクレールがノリスに仕掛けるも3位ノリスがブロック。 第2セクターあたりでアルボンが4位ルクレールに仕掛けるがブロック。 ツノダがピラトリのアウトからヒュルケンベルグに並び、出口でヒュルケンベルグのミスを誘った。10位に順位を上げる。
５６． ノリスと2位ピアストリの差が0.5秒。 ハミルトンが6位ラッセルに0.1秒差。 フェルスタッペンはファステストで逃げる。速い。
５７． ハミルトンがラッセルをかわして6位。
５８． タンブレロ＋その後のS字でノリスがピアストリをアウトからかわして2位。若干タイヤ当たった？＿ フェルスタッペンまでは5秒の差。 アルボンと4位ルクレールの差は0.3秒。
５９． アルボンのラインクロスをルクレールがブロックラインで閉じ込めるシーンが続く。 アロンソがヒュルケンベルグをかわして11位。ユーズド12周のミディアムタイヤが良く周っている。
６０． ホームストレートでDRS使用してタンブレロをルクレールに並んだアルボン。S字でルクレールとサイドバイサイドになり、右イン側へコースオフ。その間にハミルトンがアルボンをかわして5位。熱狂に沸くティフォシ。 アルボン無線：That wasn’t fair!
６１． フェラーリが順位スワップ。ハミルトンが4位、ルクレール5位。 アルボンが再びルクレールに0.5秒。 川井氏解説；残り2周ですね。おまかせします。
６２． アルボンがタンブレロで5位ルクレールにDRSで迫ったが今度は無理しなかった。
６３． 3度目のタンブレロでアルボンが今度はインからルクレールをかわして5位。 フェルスタッペンがパパになって初勝利。今シーズン2勝目のチェッカー。レッドブル400戦目のレースで見事な優勝。

1. It was a start where both leader Piastri and third-placed Russell appeared to have good traction, but Verstappen aggressively forced his way through the inside at Turn 2, overtaking Piastri to take the lead.
Commentator Kawai: “Piastri backed off without forcing it. I thought Verstappen might go for it in that narrow corner — and he really did.”
Russell had a strong start but got boxed in by Verstappen and Piastri.
3. Gasly ran widely off the track at Piratella, dropping to 14th.
Kawai: “That corner is taken at around 220 km/h.”
5. The top 10: Verstappen, Piastri, Russell, Norris, Alonso, Sainz, Albon, Stroll, Leclerc, Hadjar.
10. Norris pressured Russell for third, but Russell defended firmly. Leclerc made a pit stop.
11. Norris passed Russell at Tosa (or nearby), a beautiful overtake through a series of switchback turns.
Shirahata: “McLaren really is a car that turns well.”
Russell pitted right after.
13. Alonso pitted, and flames appeared from the front brake ducts during pit exit.
Leclerc, now running 13th, set the fastest lap.
Piastri pitted, but it took 3.6 seconds — a bit too long.
15. Piastri rejoined just behind Tsunoda in 10th. With Verstappen in the lead, Red Bull might use teammate Tsunoda to hold Piastri up?
17. Radio to Tsunoda instructed him to hold off Piastri — it’s now a Red Bull vs McLaren team battle.
Shirahata: “Tsunoda’s already started to drop his pace.”
18. On the back straight, Piastri overtook Tsunoda for 10th.
Tsunoda tried to use Bearman’s tow to defend but couldn’t manage it — great move by Piastri.
21. Leclerc passed Tsunoda on the main straight into Turn 2 for 11th.
Radio to Sainz: “Alex [Albon] 21.8.”
Sainz replied: “It’s clearly a 1-stop then, if Alex is doing 21.8.”
Kawai: “They’re factoring in that Albon’s tires are 20 laps old.”
22. Piastri passed Hülkenberg for 7th.
23. Russell over team radio:
“It’s like the rear track rod or something is broken. The rears are moving even on the straight. I’m struggling.”
Shirahata: “If the track rod were broken, the tires wouldn’t hold. He did say before the start that the rear felt off.”
25. Mercedes mechanics checked and found no data indicating a rear issue on Russell’s car.
Verstappen’s one-stop strategy is becoming viable as lap counts build.
26. Russell overtook Tsunoda for 11th.
Piastri passed Hamilton for 6th.
27. Piastri overtook Antonelli around the outside of Turn 2 for 5th — significant pace difference.
28. Piastri passed Hadjar for 4th.
He had to push since he was on a two-stop strategy.
29. Norris pitted and rejoined between Hamilton and Leclerc in 7th.
Ocon stopped at the exit of Tosa — reported via radio to be a mechanical issue.
Virtual Safety Car (VSC) deployed.
Kawai: “This situation really plays into Max’s hands.”
30. Verstappen pitted and rejoined with a 24-second gap, maintaining the lead.
Leclerc radioed, “Unbelievable!!” since VSC was deployed right after Verstappen’s stop.
Many drivers began pitting.
31. Piastri also pitted — a strategic loss.
Kawai & Shirahata: “This could open the door for an Albon podium. The question is whether he can maintain the 7-second gap to 4th-place Piastri over the remaining laps.”
32. Replay showed Russell nearly rear-ending Bearman in the pit lane during the VSC — a very close call.
33. At Tamburello, Sainz attacked Tsunoda for 12th but their tires touched.
Sainz radioed in frustration: “Just like Bahrain, he hit me again.”
35. Russell overtook Stroll for 10th — into the points.
36. Hamilton passed Hadjar for 5th — tire compound difference (medium vs hard) played a role.
Russell passed Alonso on the main straight for 9th.
37. Radio to Hamilton: “P5 on the road, awesome!”
Hamilton replied: “I had to use a lot of tyres to get through those two.”
Kawai: “He means he used a lot of tire life passing the two Aston Martins.”
38. Leclerc passed Antonelli at Tamburello for 7th — both in their home GP.
39. Piastri closed to within a second of 3rd-placed Albon.
40. Hülkenberg passed Alonso for 10th — into the points.
Aston Martins, despite strong qualifying, now out of the top 10.
Piastri passed Albon for 3rd.
Top 10: Verstappen, Norris, Piastri, Albon, Hamilton, Hadjar, Leclerc, Antonelli, Russell, Hülkenberg.
41. Leclerc closed to within a second of 6th-placed Hadjar and overtook him smoothly.
Kawai: “Leclerc has said the race pace is good, but Ferrari’s slower qualifying pace compared to last year is a concern.”
42. Sainz passed Hülkenberg for 10th (points).
Tsunoda overtook Alonso for 12th.
Imola is offering an exciting overtaking show!
43. Alonso on the radio:
“It’s going to be torture, it’s a wreck. I’m the unluckiest driver in the fxxkin’ world.”
Kawai: “Sounds like he’s trying to hang on to the end with a 1-stop.”
45. Shirahata: “From front to back, a lot has happened today — a very entertaining race.”
46. Antonelli parked his car on the grass and retired — mechanical issue.
Safety Car deployed. Unlike the earlier VSC right at Tosa’s exit, this time the car was 50m further down — thus SC?
47. Red Bull immediately reacted and brought in Verstappen.
Norris, and then Hamilton, also pitted.
Leclerc discussed with the team whether to stay out for the final 17 laps.
Piastri stayed out due to lack of fresh tires.
Stroll, Colapinto, and Bortoleto pitted.
48. Shirahata: “Maybe marshals wanted to spice up the race — that’s the difference between VSC and SC.”
Top 10 under SC: Verstappen, Piastri, Norris, Leclerc, Albon, Russell, Hamilton, Sainz, Hadjar, Hülkenberg.
49. Leclerc radio: “I’m looking at whether we can still finish in the points. I’m not being pessimistic, but these tyres will be incredibly tough to restart on.”
50. Norris in negotiation with the team over team orders:
“Oscar’s (Piastri’s) tyres are a bit older, but…”
51. Bearman, who ended up ahead of the SC by accident, overtook it to drop back to 18th as required.
54. SC ends — 10-lap sprint begins.
Leclerc tried to attack Norris at Tamburello for 3rd but was blocked.
Albon tried to pass Leclerc in Sector 2 but was also blocked.
Tsunoda challenged Hülkenberg from the outside at Piratella, forcing a mistake and taking 10th.
56. Norris closed to within 0.5 sec of 2nd-placed Piastri.
Hamilton just 0.1 sec behind 6th-place Russell.
Verstappen pulled away with fastest laps — unstoppable.
57. Hamilton overtook Russell for 6th.
58. At Tamburello and the following S-curves, Norris overtook Piastri from the outside for 2nd — slight contact?
Gap to Verstappen was 5 seconds.
Albon just 0.3 sec behind 4th-placed Leclerc.
59. Albon repeatedly tried to pass Leclerc, who defended with tight lines.
Alonso passed Hülkenberg for 11th.
His 12-lap-old medium tires were still performing well.
60. Albon used DRS down the main straight and ran side-by-side with Leclerc at Tamburello.
They ran wheel-to-wheel through the S-section, with Albon running off track to the right.
Meanwhile, Hamilton passed Albon for 5th — Tifosi went wild.
Albon radio: “That wasn’t fair!”
61. Ferrari executed a team swap — Hamilton to 4th, Leclerc to 5th.
Albon still just 0.5 sec behind Leclerc.
Kawai: “Two laps to go — we’ll leave it to the drivers now.”
62. Albon used DRS to challenge Leclerc again at Tamburello, but this time didn’t force the move.
63. On his third attempt at Tamburello, Albon finally overtook Leclerc from the inside for 5th.
Verstappen took the checkered flag — his first win as a father, and his second of the season.
A superb victory in Red Bull’s 400th Grand Prix.
