レース要点
現地時間5月４日午後4時フォーメーションラップ開始。アメリカではスターウォーズの日とのこと。
2021年から開催されているマイアミGPは今年で5回目。2040年までのGP開催契約が延長されたというニュースが入ってきた。
デグラデーションが小さいと言われるこのコースは如何なるドラマを生み出すか。

１．1コーナーは皆順当なスタート。ターン2から3にかけてノリスがトップのフェルスタッペンに仕掛けるもののオーバーランしてピアストリが前に出た。
２．アントネッリとピアストリが激しくバトル。 スタートリプレイ映像でドゥーハンとローソンの接触が見られた。ドゥーハンの左フロントがバーストしてストップ。バーチャルセーフティカー導入。また、スタートリプレイ映像では確かにフェルスタッペンの右タイヤがヒットしてノリスがコースオフしているように見える。
４．VSC終了。
５．ピアストリがアントネッリをかわして2位。 ハミルトンがハジャーをかわして11位。ハジャーは前周最終コーナーあたりから必至にブロックしていたが、ターン2をオーバーラン。
７．ノリスがラッセルをかわして4位。 森脇氏解説；今のノリスの抜き方はかなりマシンに差のある抜き方でしたね。 川井氏解説；メルセデスはレース序盤ですのでタイヤマネジメントしている可能性もあります。 フェルスタッペン、ピアストリ、アントネッリ、ノリス、ラッセル、サインツ、アルボン、ルクレール、ツノダ、オコンのトップ10。
９．ノリスがターン11でアントネッリをパスして3位。速いなあ。 アロンソがターン12でスピン。18位まで順位を落とした。オーバーテイクを狙ってレコードラインを外したか。
１１．前周最終コーナー、ターン1でピアストリが1位フェルスタッペンに仕掛けるも、フェルスタッペンはディフェンシブなラインでブロック。 川井氏解説；これはピアストリはタイヤを消耗します。
１４．ホームストレートでピアストリが前。ただフェルスタッペンもターン1はインをブロック。ターン2でフェルスタッペンがオーバーランしてピアストリがトップ奪取。 川井氏解説；1コーナーでのラインクロスはお手本のようなオーバーテイクでした。
１６．ノリスも2位フェルスタッペンに襲い掛かる。ホームストレート、ターン1、フェルスタッペンのブロックも見応えがある。
１７．ノリスがフェルスタッペンをかわして2位。ターン14あたり。 直後のバックストレートでDRSを得たフェルスタッペンがさらにノリスをかわして順位を戻す。
１８．ノリスが再びターン14あたりでフェルスタッペンをかわして2位。 バックストレートで今回はフェルスタッペンは追い付けない。
１９．ラッセル無線：It’s raining.
２０．ボルトレートがピット。ザウバーは、雨雲はサーキットをかする程度と予想か。
２１．ピアストリ、ノリス、フェルスタッペン、アントネッリ、ラッセル、アルボン、サインツ、ルクレール、ツノダ、オコンのトップ10。 レーダー映像で雨雲はサーキット北側を通過し、雨を降らせないと見込まれる。
２２．ハミルトンと10位オコンがバトル。DRSからインを窺うハミルトンにオコンがウォールから1車身ギリギリのブロック。バックストレートでオコンをかわしてハミルトンが10位。
２４．マクラーレン2台の速さが抜きん出ている。タイヤに優しいマシンだ。
２５．ワンツーのマクラーレンがファステスト合戦。
２６．アントネッリ、サインツがピット。 アントネッリのピットはリリース前に一瞬ホールドされたように見えた。
２７．フェルスタッペンがピット。最近のレッドブルとすればスムーズにピットを終えてアントネッリの3秒前、ハミルトンの後ろの7位復帰。
２８．ツノダピット。 ベアマンがスローダウン。VSC導入。マクラーレンもフェラーリもピットクルーが慌ただしく動く。
２９．ハミルトンが良いタイミングでピット。ピアストリとノリスはコントロールラインを通過していた。
３０．マクラーレンは2台連続ピット。 ラッセルもピットに入ったが時間が掛かった。それでもフェルスタッペンの前3位に復帰。 VSC回収。
３１．アルボンがアントネッリをかわして5位。1コーナーラインクロスでうまさをみせた。
３２．ツノダに5秒ペナルティ。ピットレーンスピード違反。
３３．無線でマシンの不調を訴えていたボルトレートがストップ。コース外にマシンを止められているが、VSC導入。
３４．VSC終了。 VSC直後にルクレールが7位サインツに襲い掛かる。ターン1でルクレールがサインツをかわして7位。アウトに膨らんだルクレールとサインツをインからハミルトンが見事なオーバーテイク。ハミルトンがサインツの前に出て8位。
３６．ピアストリ、ノリス、ラッセル、フェルスタッペン、アルボン、アントネッリ、ルクレール、ハミルトン、サインツ、ツノダのトップ10。
４１．7位8位でフェラーリはハミルトンを前に出して順位スワップしたものの、決断が遅かったとドライバーから無線で不満が募っている。
４４．バックストレートで3位ラッセルが後ろのフェルスタッペンをミラーで凝視しながら通過する様子を国際映像が捕らえる。
４７．4位フェルスタッペンが前のラッセルに1.5秒まで近づくも、タービュランスの影響かここからの差が縮まらない。
４８．シーザーズパレス・ホテル（Caesars Palace）にあるヘルズ・キッチンのオーナーシェフ、ゴードン・ラムゼイを国際映像が捕らえる。ラスベガスで今一番人気のレストランシェフだ。
５０．ピアストリ、ノリス、ラッセル、フェルスタッペン、アルボン、アントネッリ、ハミルトン、ルクレール、サインツ、ツノダのトップ10。
５２．ハミルトンにスワップポジションの無線。フェラーリの混乱が全世界に拡散されている。
５３．バックストレートエンドでフェラーリが順位スワップ。ルクレールが7位。前のアントネッリに差を詰められるか。 ハミルトンへのチーム無線：Sainz 1.4 behind. → ハミルトン返答：You want me to let him past, as well？(サインツも前に出そうか？) 川井氏解説；そういう皮肉言うならフェラーリに行かなきゃよかったってなりますよ。というのも、イギリス人とイタリア人だと笑いにならない可能性もあるからです。
５５．5秒ペナルティが課せられているツノダは10番手。後ろのハジャーとちょうど5秒差のため、チェッカーまでプッシュし続ける必要がある。
５７．ピアストリは中東から3連勝。マクラーレンにとっては27年ぶり。サインツが8位ハミルトンに最終コーナーでバトルを仕掛けるもハミルトンが前でチェッカー。サインツの右フロントとハミルトンのリア、そしてサイドボディーが接触していた。ハジャーと10位ツノダの差は5.1秒だった。ツノダ10位死守。

1. A clean start for everyone into Turn 1. Between Turns 2 and 3, Norris made a move on race leader Verstappen but ran wide, allowing Piastri to slip ahead.
2. A fierce battle ensued between Antonelli and Piastri. Replay footage of the start showed contact between Doohan and Lawson. Doohan’s front-left tire burst, forcing him to retire. A Virtual Safety Car (VSC) was deployed. The replay also appeared to show Verstappen’s right tire making contact with Norris, pushing him off the track.
4. VSC ended.
5. Piastri overtook Antonelli to move into 2nd. Hamilton passed Hadjar for 11th. Hadjar had been aggressively defending since the final corner of the previous lap but overshot Turn 2.
7. Norris overtook Russell for 4th.
Moriwaki: “That overtake showed a clear pace advantage from Norris.”
Kawai: “Mercedes might be managing tires in the early stages.”
Top 10: Verstappen, Piastri, Antonelli, Norris, Russell, Sainz, Albon, Leclerc, Tsunoda, Ocon.
9. Norris passed Antonelli at Turn 11 to take 3rd — very quick. Alonso spun at Turn 12 and dropped down to 18th. He may have strayed off the racing line while attempting an overtake.
11. On the previous lap’s final corner and into Turn 1, Piastri challenged Verstappen for the lead, but Verstappen defended hard.
Kawai: “This will wear Piastri’s tires.”
14. Piastri took the lead on the main straight, but Verstappen defended the inside into Turn 1. Verstappen ran wide at Turn 2, allowing Piastri to claim P1.
Kawai: “That was a textbook overtake with a switchback at Turn 1.”
16. Norris began attacking 2nd-place Verstappen. His approach into Turn 1 and Verstappen’s block made for an exciting duel.
17. Norris overtook Verstappen for 2nd around Turn 14. But on the back straight, Verstappen reclaimed the position using DRS.
18. Norris again passed Verstappen at Turn 14. This time, Verstappen couldn’t catch back on the straight.
19. Russell radio: “It’s raining.”
20. Bottas pitted. Sauber may have forecasted that the rain clouds would only graze the circuit.
21. Top 10: Piastri, Norris, Verstappen, Antonelli, Russell, Albon, Sainz, Leclerc, Tsunoda, Ocon. Radar showed rain clouds skimming the north side of the circuit, unlikely to bring rain.
22. Hamilton battled Ocon for 10th. Ocon defended aggressively, keeping just a car’s width from the wall. Hamilton eventually passed him on the back straight.
24. The McLarens were clearly the fastest cars — gentle on tires and strong in pace.
25. The McLaren duo began trading fastest laps.
26. Antonelli and Sainz pitted. Antonelli’s release seemed slightly delayed before he was let go.
27. Verstappen pitted. Red Bull executed a smooth stop, rejoining 3 seconds ahead of Antonelli in 7th, just behind Hamilton.
28. Tsunoda pitted. Bearman slowed down, bringing out another VSC. Both McLaren and Ferrari pit crews jumped into action.
29. Hamilton pitted at just the right time. Piastri and Norris had already passed the pit entry.
30. McLaren double-stacked both cars. Russell also pitted, though it took extra time. Still, he rejoined in 3rd, ahead of Verstappen. VSC ended.
31. Albon passed Antonelli for 5th with a smart switchback at Turn 1.
32. Tsunoda received a 5-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane.
33. Bottas, who had been reporting issues on the radio, retired his car safely off-track. Another VSC was deployed.
34. VSC ended. Immediately afterward, Leclerc attacked 7th-place Sainz into Turn 1 and completed the move. Hamilton capitalized, overtaking Sainz from the inside as both Ferrari drivers ran wide — Hamilton now 8th.
36. Top 10: Piastri, Norris, Russell, Verstappen, Albon, Antonelli, Leclerc, Hamilton, Sainz, Tsunoda.
41. Ferrari swapped positions, letting Hamilton through, but the decision came too late — team radio revealed growing frustration from the drivers.
44. International broadcast caught Russell staring into his mirrors down the back straight as Verstappen closed in for 4th.
47. Verstappen closed within 1.5 seconds of Russell, but turbulence kept him from getting any closer.
48. Cameras spotted celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, owner of Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace — currently the hottest restaurant in Las Vegas.
50. Top 10 unchanged: Piastri, Norris, Russell, Verstappen, Albon, Antonelli, Hamilton, Leclerc, Sainz, Tsunoda.
52. Hamilton received a radio call to swap positions. Ferrari’s internal chaos was playing out in front of a global audience.
53. On the back straight, Ferrari executed the swap — Leclerc up to 7th. Could he close in on Antonelli?
Hamilton radioed: “Sainz 1.4 behind.”
Then replied: “You want me to let him past, as well?”
Kawai: “If you’re going to throw shade like that, maybe Ferrari wasn’t the right place. Brits and Italians don’t always share the same sense of humor.”
55. Tsunoda, carrying a 5-second penalty, was in 10th — just 5 seconds ahead of Hadjar. He needed to keep pushing to the checkered flag.
57. Piastri took his third straight win in the Middle East — McLaren’s first such streak in 27 years. Sainz challenged Hamilton for 8th at the final corner, but Hamilton held position. There was contact between Sainz’s front-right and Hamilton’s rear end and sidepod. Tsunoda held off Hadjar by 0.1 seconds to secure 10th.
