ところで初めて、国際映像にブラッド・ピットさん主演映画F1のトゥルーザーが流れた。
サッカーとも、ボクシングともまた違う 何とも云えないF1特有の感動が得られたレース。

１．ガスリーがギアボックストラブルでグリッドに付けず、ピットスタート。 フロントロー2台のメルセデスは統制されたチームプレー。2位ハミルトンが後ろのノリスをしっかりブロックし、ポールのノリスを守る。行き詰まったノリスをフェルスタッペンが1コーナーでかわして3位。 片山氏解説；フェルスタッペンはもうモードに入ってる感じです。
２．ガスリーはリタイアの模様。
４．各車無線で弱い雨の予報を伝えている。
６．ラッセル、ハミルトン、フェルスタッペン、ノリス、ピアストリ、サインツ、ストロール、ルクレール、ヒュルケンベルグ、アロンソのトップ10。 ルクレールがストロールに近づく。
９．7位ストロールからルクレール、ヒュルケンベルグがDRS圏内でバトル中。調子が悪いとはいえ、ルクレールはここのポジション争い・・？
１２．各車へ雨のタイミングや長さの無線が飛び交う。当初より強く、長くなる可能性も。
１３．ジョウがピットインし、ソフトからミディアムに。 片山氏解説；周りの無線を聞いてなかったのでしょうか？笑 川井氏解説；最初のソフトが相当悪かったようですね。 ルクレールがストロールをかわして7位に。
１５．ノリスがハンガーストレートでフェルスタッペンをかわして3位。ポジションを奪い返す。 フェルスタッペンはタイヤマネージメントをしているのか、ペースが上がらず、オーバーテイクの際も殆どディフェンスしなかった。
１６．観客席もレインコートを着用し始める。まだ誰もピットには入らない。
１７．ノリスと同じ場所で、ピアストリがフェルスタッペンをかわして4位。
１８．ハンガーストレートエンドでハミルトンがラッセルをかわしてトップに。
１９．雨がかなり降っている。その直後、メルセデス2台がコースオフ。ノリスがそのミスを見逃さずにラッセルをかわして2位に。
２０．ノリスがホームストレートでハミルトンをかわしてトップに。 ピアストリがラッセルをかわして3位。 マクラーレンは雨用にダウンフォースを増やしていて、トラクションが良い。 さらにピアストリはハミルトンをかわして2位に。
２２．インターミディエートタイヤに交換したルクレール、ペレス、オコンなどは路面が乾きすぎていて藻掻いている。 ただ、次の雨までインターがもてばチャンスもある。
２３．ノリス、ピアストリ、ハミルトン、ラッセル、フェルスタッペン、サインツ、ヒュルケンベルグ、アロンソ、ストロール、ツノダのトップ10。
２４．川井氏解説；雨によってまだ誰が勝ってもおかしくない状況です。
２５．またかなり雨が強くなってきた。インターのルクレールがコースオフ。川井氏解説；あのインターミディエートタイヤは既にゲージが無くなって壊れている可能性もあります。
２６．6位サインツは前のフェルスタッペンを窺うが、ラインを外すと雨でスリップしてしまう。
２７．フェルスタッペンとサインツがピットインし、インターミディエートタイヤに。 マクラーレンとメルセデスは入らなかったが路面が濡れていて苦しい。
２８．ノリスがピット。メルセデスはダブルピットストップ。ピアストリのみステイアウト。
２９．ピアストリがここでピット。 ハミルトンへチーム無線(ボノ)；Ok, Lewis, this is our time. ノリス、ハミルトン、フェルスタッペン、ラッセル、サインツ、ピアストリ、ヒュルケンベルグ、ストロール、アロンソ、ツノダのトップ10。
３２．ハミルトン無線；Front tyres are falling apart.(フロントタイヤがボロボロだよ)
３４．ラッセルがピットに戻ってリタイア。冷却水のトラブルのよう。
３７．日が差してきた。 川井氏解説；そろそろスリックにというタイミングですが、この天気は面倒ですね。
３９．ハミルトンとフェルスタッペンがピット。ハミルトンはソフト、フェルスタッペンはハードタイヤ。 ピアストリもピット。ミディアム。 タイヤが分かれている。
４０．ノリスがピット。停止位置を１ｍ以上前で停車したが、クルーにダメージは無いか。ソフトへ。静止時間4.5秒。 ハミルトンがホームストレートを通過、ハミルトンがトップに立つ。 川井氏解説；さあここから一騎打ちが面白いです。実況が大変だね。
４２．2位ノリスと3位フェルスタッペンがファステストを出し合ってトップのハミルトンを追う展開。残り10周。
４４．ノリスとフェルスタッペンはずっとファステストを更新し続けている。ハードを穿いたフェルスタッペンは驚異的。 ギャップはそれぞれ2秒ほど。 片山氏解説；凄いレースになってきました。
４６．ノリスとフェルスタッペンの差が1.4秒。
４７．フェルスタッペンがノリスのDRS圏内に。ハミルトンとノリスは3秒以上の差に。
４８．ハンガーストレートでアウトからフェルスタッペンがノリスをかわして2位。 川井氏解説；ノリスは何も抵抗できなかったですね。
４９．ハミルトンはバックマーカーに追い付き始める。フェルスタッペンはハミルトンよりラップ0.6秒ほど速いがただ、残りは3周。ここは母国イギリス。メインストレートの名称はハミルトン・ストレート。
５１．ハミルトンとフェルスタッペンの差は2.7秒。 サインツがピット。ニュータイヤでファステスト狙い。 ブライアン・メイがチェッカーフラッグの準備。
５２．フェルスタッペンは差を2秒以内に迫るも、直近最後の勝利は2021年サウジアラビアから待ちに待ったこの日を迎える。ハミルトン通算103勝目。同一サーキット9勝は歴代単独トップ。2位はマニクールでの8勝を記録しているミハエル・シューマッハ。歓喜に震えるトトとボノ。駆け足のマーシャルからユニオンジャックを受け取ったハミルトンは右手に掲げてウイニングラン。 片山氏解説；恰好良すぎますね。この歴史的なシーンは何度も使われると思います。

1. Gasly suffers a gearbox issue and can’t take the grid — he starts from the pit lane.
The two Mercedes drivers on the front row execute a coordinated start; P2 Hamilton holds off Norris to protect pole-sitter Russell.
Verstappen capitalizes on the congestion and overtakes Norris into Turn 1 to grab P3.
Katayama: “Verstappen looks like he’s already switched into race mode.”
2. It seems Gasly is retiring from the race.
4. Team radios across the field are warning of light rain expected.
6. Top 10: Russell, Hamilton, Verstappen, Norris, Piastri, Sainz, Stroll, Leclerc, Hülkenberg, Alonso.
Leclerc is closing in on Stroll.
9. From P7, Stroll is in a DRS train with Leclerc and Hülkenberg.
Leclerc seems to be in an awkward midfield fight, despite his form.
12. Rain radios intensify. Forecasts suggest it may rain harder and longer than expected.
13. Zhou pits to switch from softs to mediums.
Katayama: “Did he not hear the radio chatter?”
Kawai: “His softs must’ve been in terrible shape.”
Leclerc overtakes Stroll for P7.
15. Norris reclaims P3 from Verstappen down the Hangar Straight.
Verstappen appears to be in tyre conservation mode — offering little resistance.
16. Spectators begin donning raincoats. No pit stops yet.
17. In the same spot as Norris, Piastri overtakes Verstappen for P4.
18. Hamilton overtakes Russell at the end of the Hangar Straight to take the lead.
19. Rain intensifies. Both Mercedes drivers go off track.
Norris takes advantage of Russell’s mistake and grabs P2.
20. Norris overtakes Hamilton on the main straight for the lead.
Piastri also overtakes Russell for P3.
McLaren’s setup with extra downforce is working — excellent traction in the wet.
Then, Piastri overtakes Hamilton to take P2!
22. Drivers like Leclerc, Pérez, and Ocon who switched to inters are now struggling as the track dries.
If the inters hold until the next shower, though, it could still work out.
23. Top 10: Norris, Piastri, Hamilton, Russell, Verstappen, Sainz, Hülkenberg, Alonso, Stroll, Tsunoda.
24. Kawai: “This rain has thrown things wide open — anyone can still win this.”
25. Rain returns with more force.
Leclerc goes off track on destroyed inters.
Kawai: “Those inters may have lost their tread entirely.”
26. Sainz is eyeing Verstappen for P5, but wet patches make overtaking perilous.
27. Verstappen and Sainz pit for inters.
McLaren and Mercedes stay out — but the wet track is proving tough to manage.
28. Norris pits. Mercedes opt for a double-stack.
Only Piastri stays out.
29. Piastri finally pits.
Hamilton radio (Bono): “OK, Lewis, this is our time.”
Top 10: Norris, Hamilton, Verstappen, Russell, Sainz, Piastri, Hülkenberg, Stroll, Alonso, Tsunoda.
32. Hamilton radio: “Front tyres are falling apart.”
34. Russell returns to the pits and retires — likely a cooling system issue.
37. Sunshine appears.
Kawai: “It’s almost slick time — but this weather is a nightmare.”
39. Hamilton pits for softs. Verstappen goes for hards.
Piastri pits for mediums.
We now have a tyre mix on track.
40. Norris pits — stopping more than a meter past the mark. Hopefully the crew is okay.
Switches to softs.
Stop time: 4.5 seconds.
Hamilton passes on the main straight and retakes the lead.
Kawai: “It’s a straight duel from here — and it’ll be thrilling.”
42. Norris and Verstappen trade fastest laps as they chase Hamilton. 10 laps to go.
44. Norris and Verstappen continue exchanging fastest laps.
Verstappen on hards is especially impressive — both are around 2 seconds behind Hamilton.
Katayama: “This is turning into an incredible race.”
46. Verstappen closes the gap to Norris to 1.4 seconds.
47. Verstappen is now within DRS range of Norris.
Hamilton leads by over 3 seconds.
48. On the Hangar Straight, Verstappen sweeps around the outside of Norris to take P2.
Kawai: “Norris had no answer for that move.”
49. Hamilton begins to hit lapped traffic.
Verstappen is lapping 0.6 seconds faster — but only 3 laps remain.
We’re in Britain. The main straight is literally named “Hamilton Straight.”
51. The gap is 2.7 seconds.
Sainz pits for fresh tyres to chase fastest lap.
Brian May is spotted preparing the checkered flag.
52. Verstappen brings the gap under 2 seconds — but it’s too late.
Hamilton finally wins again, ending a drought that started after Saudi Arabia 2021.
It’s his 103rd win, and a record-breaking 9th at the same circuit — surpassing Schumacher’s 8 at Magny-Cours.
Toto and Bono are overcome with emotion.
Hamilton receives the Union Jack from a sprinting marshal and waves it high on his victory lap.
Katayama: “Too cool. This scene will be replayed for years to come.”
