F. コースが乾きにくいということで不要なアクシデントを避けるため、レコノサンスはインターミディエイトタイヤで臨むマシンが多い。が、決勝レースはやはり全車スリックでのスタートとなった。現地時間20時ちょうど、フォーメーションラップ開始。PPラッセルはミディアムタイヤ、フロントロウのフェルスタッペンはソフトタイヤスタートであるため、1コーナーは見ものだ。
１．PPからラッセル素晴らしいスタート。1コーナーを制する。マクラーレン2台がターン2で並び、ノリスが前に出て3位。スタートの良かったルクレールは2つ順位を上げ、マクラーレンのバトルの隙を窺うが、ここはチャンス無し。ノリスに接触あり。左のエンドプレートを破損している。
２．ソフトタイヤスタートで13番手スタートであったツノダは順位を落とし、現在17位。ボルトレートも大きく順位を落として現在15位。
４．ラッセル、フェルスタッペン、ノリス、ピアストリ、ルクレール、アントネッリ、ハミルトン、アロンソ、ハジャー、ベアマンのトップ10。
８．16位オコンが無線でブレーキにトラブルがあるとのこと。
９．ノリスの破損したエンドプレートが徐々に傾いているように見える。レースコントロールから何か指摘される可能性もありそう。
１０．トップのラッセルと2位フェルスタッペンの差は5.2秒。ソフトタイヤのフェルスタッペンはタイヤマネジメントしている走りにも見える。
１１．川井氏解説；ここはコーナーが19もあるサーキットでシフトの回数が多いです。フェルスタッペンのダウンシフトの不調は続いているようですね。
１３．現在DRS圏内でバトルしているのは、8位アロンソと9位ハジャー、16位オコンと17位ツノダ。9位ハジャー以降は割と1～2秒のギャップごとに繋がっている。
１４．ボルトレートとツノダがピット。ボルトレートはスタート時のフロントウィングのダメージをここまでキープし、ウイング交換を行った。
１５．川井氏解説；ノリスはフェルスタッペンに当たったり、ピアストリに当たったり、ウォールに当たったり、今日は忙しいですね。
１６．国際映像がノリスのパートナーMargarida Corceiroを捕らえる。
１７．ノリスにフェルスタッペンと逆のピット戦略が無線で伝えられる。 川井氏解説；この指示は早すぎますね。釣りです。やはりピットにはこの周で入りませんね。フェルスタッペンを先にピットに入れてどかしてしまうフェイクでした。
２０．フェルスタッペンがピット。ハードでチェッカーまで。静止3.0秒は若干クイックさが物足りないピット作業であったかも。
２２．ルクレールがピット。ヒュルケンベルグの僅かに後ろ、10位で復帰。すぐにDRSを使ってヒュルケンベルグの前に出て9位。
２５．ハミルトンがピット。右フロントにやや時間が掛かって、9位復帰。川井氏解説；今日のフェラーリはフェルスタッペンに優しい動きをしていますね。これでフェルスタッペンは約6秒のクリーンエアを得てノリスにスパートをかけられます。
２６．レースリーダーのラッセルがピット。3位復帰。続いてアントネッリもピット。7位復帰。
２７．ノリスがピット。静止2.1秒のクイックなピットで4位復帰。3位フェルスタッペンの5秒後方。ハジャーの無線によるとまたエンジンに問題を抱えているらしい。アゼルバイジャンのレコノサンスでエンジンが壊れた悪夢再びか・・。
２８．ピアストリがピット。左リアがうまく抜けなかったようで、静止5.5秒。ルクレールの3秒前、4位で復帰。なかなかヒヤヒヤするピットだった。 続いてアロンソもピットで右フロントに手こずり、9.2秒静止。15位復帰したがポイント圏内が危うい。
３０．アロンソへチーム無線：34 to go. → アロンソ返答：If you speak to me every lap, I will disconnect the radio. 川井氏解説；先ほどのタイヤ交換で頭にきているのでしょう。
３１．ラッセル、フェルスタッペン、ノリス、ピアストリ、ルクレール、アントネッリ、ハミルトン、ローソン、ストロール、オコンのトップ10。 6位アントネッリは前のルクレールのDRS圏内を何周かバトルしていて、ラップも0.5秒ほど速いのになかなか抜けない。シンガポール市街地コースもやはりオーバーテイクが難しい。 浜島氏解説；アントネッリにしてはスタートで大きく順位を落としたのが痛手ですね。 川井氏解説；タイヤが新しいうちしかオーバーテイクのチャンスは無いです。
３２．ローソン、ストロール、サインツ、アルボンがまだピット作業を実施していない。ストロールはソフトタイヤで32周周回を続けている。
３３．国際映像が赤ちゃんを伴い応援に駆け付けたストロールファミリーを捕らえる。
３４．ノリスへのチーム無線：Have a drink. 川井氏解説；ノリスは割とドリンクを飲まないタイプのドライバーですね。現在気温29度、路面温度34度、湿度72％で、高温多湿です。
３５．9位ストロールから、サインツ、ベアマンと0.5秒差で数周バトルを続けている。
３６．オトナになるとワインでもまわしながらF1観戦といった時間がとても心に染みるようになる。ずっとハラハラドキドキでもなく、ドライバーの当然に続く極限の緊張の中に観戦者には幾らかの不思議な間隙があり、その間は高速でゆったり流れる時間のアートを見ているような錯覚に陥る。LVMHが全面支援する程にいいスポーツだなと改めて関心させられる。去年こそ大きなトラブルなくチェッカーを迎えたシンガポールGPだったが、今年は終盤の波乱はあるのだろうか。
３７．フェルスタッペンがリアをウォールにヒットするリプレイ映像。2秒ほどロスし、トップのラッセルとの差が5秒に開いてしまった。 13位アロンソと14位ハジャーが激しいバトル。一度ハジャーにストレートで抜かれたものの、コーナーセクションで順位を取り戻す。 アロンソ無線：Trophy for the hero of race! 川井氏解説；ハジャーに対してトロフィーを！という意味でしょう。 アロンソ本人にトロフィーを、という意味な気もする。
３８．ストロールがピット。ソフトタイヤで38周走行した。 フェルスタッペン無線：The rear is like a handbrake. Please help. → チーム返答：Let’s have a BAL 6 please, and torque 9. 川井氏解説；B-BALとはブレーキバランスのことですね。リアのスタビリティが相当無さそうです。
４１．2位フェルスタッペンと3位ノリスの差が1.7秒。 ノリスはフェルスタッペンのタービュランスに苦しんでいるが、フェルスタッペンはクリーンエアでリアのグリップに苦しんでいる。
４２．しかしまあノリスのフロントウイング左エンドプレートはかなり外側に曲がってるなあ。
４３．15位ツノダが前のコラピントに仕掛けるリプレイ映像。ストレートをウォール間際でアウトから並びかけるアタックだが、コラピントとウォールの間ギリギリの超市街地バトル。ターン5でオーバーテイクしてツノダが14位。
４５．ヒュルケンベルグがスピン。スピン後の見事なステアリング捌きだが、コースの運に味方され、ウォールへのクラッシュは避けられた。 川井氏解説；ちょっと極端にリアがロックアップしたようです。アンチストールも起動していましたね。
４７．2位フェルスタッペンと3位ノリスの差は0.5秒。チャンピオンシップの直接バトルだ。 ハミルトンがフリーピット。トラックポジション変わらず7位復帰。
４８．ピアストリへの無線：We have 8 cars within 10 seconds, massive following. It’s like starting a race in the middle of a pack. 川井氏解説；followingとはタービュランスを意味します。
５２．サインツがピット。最も1度目のピットをエクステンドした。
５３．バックストレートエンドのウォールぎりぎりでノリスが2位フェルスタッペンにアウトから並びかける。ここはフェルスタッペンがブロック。ずっとDRS圏内のバトルを続けている。 浜島氏解説；よくフェルスタッペンは真っすぐギリギリ止まりましたね。
５４．ストロールへのチーム無線：Bortoleto ahead is on 40 lap old hard tyres. → ストロール返答：My medium feel like a hundred lap old! ラッセル、フェルスタッペン、ノリス、ピアストリ、アントネッリ、ルクレール、ハミルトン、アロンソ、ベアマン、ハジャーのトップ10。
５６．ソフトを穿いているハミルトンがルクレールをかわして6位。ルクレールは週末を通して苦しんでいる。
５９．5位アントネッリと6位ハミルトンの差が0.5秒。アントネッリはハード、ハミルトンはソフトタイヤ。ハミルトンがソフトにチェンジしてからじわじわ順位を上げている通り、今回のシンガポールではソフトタイヤにアドバンテージが見られる。
６０．サインツがハジャーをかわして10位。予選失格からコツコツとオーバーテイクを積み重ねてポイント圏内に。 一度ハミルトンはアントネッリをかわしていたが、ブレーキを失って順位が再び入れ替わった。
６１．ハミルトンはルクレールにもかわされて7位に。 スロー映像では左フロントのブレーキから火花が見えた。
６２．ラッセルがカナダGPに続いてポールトゥウインでシンガポールの夜空を勝利で飾った。予選でのコースレコードは伊達ではない。マクラーレンはノリス、ピアストリが3位4位。この時点でマクラーレンが今季のコンストラクターズタイトルを獲得。ドライバーオブザデイはアロンソが獲得。

From pole, Russell gets an excellent start and wins the run to Turn 1. The two McLarens run side-by-side at Turn 2, with Norris edging ahead into P3. Leclerc, with a strong start, gains two positions and tries to capitalize on the McLaren scrap but finds no opportunity. Slight contact with Norris—his left front endplate is damaged.
